Job 5:6-12

⁸ “But if I were you, I would appeal to God;
    I would lay my cause before him.^(C)
9 He performs wonders^(D) that cannot be fathomed,^(E)
    miracles that cannot be counted.^(F)
10 He provides rain for the earth;^(G)
    he sends water on the countryside.^(H)
11 The lowly he sets on high,^(I)
    and those who mourn^(J) are lifted^(K) to safety.
¹² He thwarts the plans^(L) of the crafty,
    so that their hands achieve no success.^(M)
